12 Days of AFH Holiday Fun! Day 11!

As you enter the EpiCenter to attend For The Love of Art Holiday Sale tomorrow...look up! While the merriment will be happening inside the EpiCenter—from cookie-decorating and live portraits in the Lewis Gallery, to teen-artists painting on the 3rd floor—our exterior has a new welcome! The 18' new awning that adorns our front door is the amazing creation of Sam Batchelor, Architect and MASS ART Professor, South Boston Local 7 Ironworkers, MASS ART Grad Students, and the teen artists and mentors in AFH's 3D Design and Sculpture Studio. Constructed just in time for AFH's big 20th Anniversary Gala on 11.11.11, the awning is a true collaboration of adults and teen artists, and we are so proud to have a permanent covered entrance that makes our LEED Platinum Certified Green EpiCenter that much more inviting!

Teen artists, AFH mentors, and MASS Art Grads meet with Sam Batchelor to discuss the awning's design and construction.

A Miniature EpiCenter Model!

Getting down to business.

"Looks boss!"

Come see the awning for yourself this Monday at our For the Love of Art Holiday Sale from 4-7pm and enjoy the festivities happening inside the EpiCenter. All are welcome to attend!
