The AFH Timeline

For twenty years, AFH has been employing teens with jobs in the arts. Take a look at our history...Back in 1991, AFH was comprised of Susan Rodgerson and six teens. This year, we will have employed 225 youth and impacted many more!

Please join us on 11-11-11 as we celebrate our 20th anniversary! Not only will you be a part of this incredible history, but all proceeds raised from our Gala event will go to funding future programs at AFH, employing more teens, and making more art for years to come!

Drew Barrymore Visits the Epicenter

Drew Barrymore - actress and now, director, came to the Artists for Humanity EpiCenter last Wednesday to promote her roller-derby film, "Whip It." Local teenagers and college students showed up -- along with Boston's roller derby team, the Derby Dames, to meet and greet Drew.

Drew signed autographs, took photos with fans, and gave away a grand prize of a showing of her film that night at the AMC Loew's Theater at Boston Common.

Drew proclaimed her love for Boston
that began when she filmed "Fever Pitch" here. AFH was proud to host her and the Boston press prior to her movie premiere night.

Check out the AFH blog, our Facebook Fan Page, and our Twitter. Who knows who you will meet next at the AFH EpiCenter!

You can find more photos of the event here.

Boston By Bike visit to the EpiCenter

Yesterday we had a great group from Urban Adventours that visited us through their Green Building Tour of Boston. Twenty or so bikers braved the rain and the cold to visit us, and learn how we were able to construct our LEED Platinum Certified building on a budget. It's heartening to see all of the excitement around sustainable construction in Boston, and we're glad to do are part to spread the message.

Chris Rogers from our photo studio took some great shots of all the bikes lined up the mezzanine.
