Meet Wilton Tejeda, our Featured Young Artist of the Month for August! |
While you might not guess it from looking at his work, Wilton had
never painted before being hired as a teen-artist at AFH in 2010! He
attributes his fast learning and motivation to his encouraging mentor
Stephen Hamilton, who has helped him with commissioned paintings and
perfecting the portfolio of pieces that got him accepted into MassArt
this fall! In addition to his work in the studios, he has
done quite a bit of live-painting for our clients in the Lewis Gallery
adding a special interactive element to those events. We are so proud
of Wilton and all
his contributions to our organization. Check out some of his amazing
paintings here and watch our Facebook page throughout the month for more
fun facts about this inspiring young man before he heads off to
college! For more about this talented young artist, check out his personal webpage: wiltontejeda.com.
